Communicated well and was punctual!Posted on Google NathanTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler from Mountain Man Plumbing replaced my in-house main water shutoff valve and the pressure reducing valve (PRV) with a very practical new system that enables me to view the line pressure coming in and any drops in pressure easily. Very good looking workmanship. Prior to the work Tyler came out to my home and provided an estimate on the work, and stuck to the estimate. He's been easy to work with, cleaned up after himself, and also allowed me to change an appointment close to my originally planned estimate appointment over the phone. The website is also easy to use and efficient for scheduling an estimate. Thank you!Posted on Google JeremyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a great experience with Mountain Man Plumbing. Tyler showed up right on time, was professional, and got everything taken care of faster than expected—finishing the entire job in less than a day. He replaced our water heater, took care of the valves, and installed a new expansion tank, all with great attention to detail. Everything is working perfectly now, and the whole process was smooth and stress-free. Highly recommend Tyler and the team if you’re looking for reliable, efficient plumbing work!Posted on Google DanaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler was very professional, polite and honest. Instead of trying to sell me new parts or a whole new water heater he showed me that some of the heating elements just needed cleaned. I would recommend this company for anyone looking for honest help to get the right fix without getting ripped off.Posted on Google KyleTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Honest, thorough (caught a problem a couple people had missed), on time/reliablePosted on Google BarbTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Efficient, clean, and knowledgeable.Posted on Google WendyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler was great! Hard to find a plumber who preps for a service call like he did. He asked questions before he came over to fix a shower valve so he could make sure he had the right parts for the fixture so he was as efficient as possible when he got here. Communication was great prior to the service call and during. Fixed everything I needed in a couple of hours for a very reasonable price.Posted on Google EllenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service, fair pricing, quality work. I feel lucky to have found Tyler Nerdin at Mountain Man Plumbing!Posted on Google KarthikTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tyler was great. He kept his schedule and his work was flawless. Definitely knows his craft.Posted on Google JonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Great service. Tyler updated everything that had been missed with my old water heater, even unplugged my floor drain. Highly recommended.

How does booking a plumber online with Mountain Man Plumbing work?
Pick a service category, choose a date and a 3-hour service window (Morning 8–11, Midday 11–2, or Afternoon 2–5), enter your address and contact info, and submit. Within an hour during business hours, our office reviews the request and confirms by call, text, or email. Roughly 90% of online bookings get approved on first review and locked into the schedule.
Is the time I pick a confirmed appointment, or just a request?
It's technically a service request until our office confirms — this is intentional. A real human reviews every booking to make sure the right tech, the right truck stock, and the right time window get matched to your actual problem. Confirmation usually comes within the hour during business hours, or first thing next morning for after-hours requests.
Do I have to pay anything to book online?
No. No booking fee, no slot deposit, no charge to submit a request. You only pay for the work after the tech is on-site and you've signed off on the flat-rate quote.
What if I'm not sure which service category to pick?
Pick the closest one and add a description in the notes field. If the office team thinks you booked the wrong category, we'll text or call to clarify before locking in a tech and a time. Booking under the wrong category doesn't void the appointment — it just means a brief check-in to get the right tech assigned.
What happens right after I submit the booking?
You get an immediate on-screen confirmation with a tracking link. Our office reviews the request — usually within the hour during business hours. Once confirmed, you'll get a text or email with the tech's name, time window, and direct contact info. Day-of, you'll get an "on the way" text when the tech leaves the previous job.
Can I book online outside business hours?
The booking widget is open 24/7 — you can submit a request at 2 AM and it'll be waiting in the queue when the office opens. For genuine emergencies — burst pipes, active flooding, no hot water in winter, suspected gas leaks — skip the form and call (385) 766-8935 directly. Online booking is available anytime.
Do you charge a trip fee or service fee just to come look at the problem?
Many plumbing issues can be diagnosed remotely from a few photos and a short conversation — those don't require an in-person visit or a charge. When a site visit is needed, the trip and diagnostic cost gets explained upfront before anything is scheduled. No "show up, charge $99 just for opening the door" surprises.
Which cities do you serve from Sandy, UT?
Mountain Man Plumbing is based in Sandy and covers the full Salt Lake Valley — Salt Lake City, Draper, Murray, South Jordan, West Jordan, Cottonwood Heights, Holladay, Millcreek, Taylorsville, West Valley City, Herriman, Riverton, Kearns, Lehi, and Highland. If you're outside that ring, call first — sometimes we can still help depending on the scope of the work.
Can I reschedule or cancel an appointment I booked online?
Yes. Use the tracking link in your confirmation text, or just reply to the confirmation text directly — both reach the office immediately. Same-day cancellations are still fine; we'd rather you tell us than have a tech show up to an empty driveway.
Will I get a reminder before the appointment?
Yes — a text the night before with the time window and the tech's name, and an "on the way" text when the tech leaves the previous job (usually with a 30 to 60 minute ETA). The on-the-way text includes a live tracking link if you want to see how close they are.
Why don't I see exact prices on the booking page?
Plumbing pricing depends on what's actually wrong — the part, the access difficulty, whether code requires extra work, whether it's a same-day emergency. Real numbers come from a tech laying eyes on the situation. What you do get upfront: flat-rate pricing once we've seen it, no hourly surprises, and sign-off before any work starts.
What if the issue turns out to be bigger than what I booked for?
The tech walks you through it on-site, shows you what they're seeing, and gives a new flat-rate quote for the additional scope. You decide whether to proceed. No "while I'm here" scope creep — additional work is its own conversation, its own price, and your sign-off is required before anything beyond the original booking gets touched.
Are the techs you send actual Mountain Man employees or subcontractors?
W-2 employees only. No subcontractor labor pools, no "we farmed this out to someone we found on Angi" routing. Every tech is trained in-house, works under master plumber license #12992295-5501, and drives a marked Mountain Man truck.
Is Mountain Man Plumbing owned by a private equity company or a national franchise?
No. Mountain Man Plumbing is owner-operated by Tyler Nerdin, a Utah master plumber. That ownership shows up in pricing discipline, callback policies, the way techs are paid, and the fact that a real human reviews every online booking before confirming.
What if a tech is running late on the day of my appointment?
You'll get a text update — not a "sorry we missed the window" call after the fact. The 3-hour service windows are sized to absorb normal day-of variability, but if a previous job runs long or traffic gets bad, you hear about it while the window is still open, with a revised ETA.
Can I book multiple plumbing issues for the same appointment?
Yes, and you should — put each issue in the notes when booking. The office team will adjust the time window if the combined scope needs more than the standard 3-hour slot, and you'll get a heads-up before the appointment is confirmed.
Is the booking widget secure? Where does my information go?
All bookings are submitted over HTTPS and stored in Mountain Man's internal scheduling system — same database the office team and techs use day-to-day. Your contact info isn't shared with third-party lead generators, sold to aggregators, or used for outside marketing. The only outreach you'll get from us is about the work you booked.
