Millcreek water softener swap and relocate

We were recently called out to Millcreek to assist in moving and replacing a shut off valve and replacing the old water softener, as well as moving it to a more convenient spot. The old unit was still tied in on the wall with the brine tank open beside it, and the shutoff work up near the general plumbing needed attention so we could get clean isolation and a better layout.

We pulled the old softener, relocated the setup, and put in a standard 32,000-grain softener sized for a smaller home. That meant setting the tank and brine tank, tying into the accessible loop and drain, installing the bypass, and getting the control head programmed and leak-checked.

We replaced the lines with PEX that will last for years to come. Startup and the basic operation check went fine. The customer now has soft water.
