We got called out to Bountiful because the water heater had decided to be a cold water heater. Everybody knows quick action and quality results are key on these calls—nobody likes going without hot water for very long. Luckily they called us, and we got on it right away.
We pulled the old tank and set a standard 40-gallon Bradford White in the same accessible spot, tying back into the existing water, gas, and venting where it was code-compliant and reusable. That was the point where the job got interesting: the existing install needed to be brought up to code, not just swapped.
So we added an expansion tank, earthquake straps, and a pan—basically everything the new unit needed. We finished the water connections, gas reconnection, T&P relief piping, startup, and leak testing, then hauled the old tank away.
We only install the best, and this Bradford White 40-gallon setup now has what it needs to last for decades to come.
