In Salt Lake City, UT, this job was very interesting. It was right in the middle of downtown Salt Lake in a condo unit. The customer’s water heater was original, over 20 years old. It’s a miracle it lasted that long, but they had just moved in and decided they did not want any problems going forward. We went ahead and got them into a new Bradford White.
Upon doing the job, the drain as it often is in the mechanical room was clogged. Well, number one, this was a very high-rise building, and a clogged drain means any kind of flood in the mechanical room would flood the units below, which is unacceptable. So we went ahead and got that taken care of.
We run a fully equipped service van, so we always have all the tools needed to take care of anything that comes our way. Some of the low-priced water-heater-only companies would just leave you hanging. They would not have any kind of drain equipment on their vans to help you. We are water heater specialists and plumbing specialists. We have probably the most experienced water heater installers in the state, but we can also take care of anything else that comes your way.
We were able to install this new Bradford White up to code, and the customer will have hot water for years to come.
