West Jordan PRV Replacement
Pressure reducing valve replacement installed in West Jordan Utah home

A customer in West Jordan reached out because they were dealing with almost no hot water pressure throughout the home. This was a tall townhome, four stories, and for some reason the water heater was located on the upper floor, which immediately raised a red flag. After testing the water pressure, it came in at just 20 PSI. That’s barely enough to push water up to a fourth-floor water heater, let alone supply hot water through the rest of the system. I tracked the issue back to the pressure reducing valve and confirmed it had failed. Luckily, this is exactly why we keep our trucks fully stocked. I was able to replace the PRV on the same visit, set the pressure to a proper 60 PSI, and verify everything was flowing the way it should. The customer was ecstatic, especially since they originally thought the water heater itself was the problem. In the end, it was a much simpler fix, and they were back to normal water pressure without replacing equipment they didn’t need to.
