We got called out on a weekend in South Jordan because a client’s water heater had stopped working. It was a power vented model, and those can be a little trickier to handle on the weekend. Luckily here at Mountain Man Plumbing we stay prepared for most situations any day of the week. Hot water is not a luxury. It is a necessity, so we want folks back in hot water as quickly as possible.
We sourced an appropriate power vented Bradford White fifty gallon unit from our shop supplies and hauled the failed heater away. The install used the existing water, gas, electrical, and approved vent connections where they were code-compliant and reusable. We set the new tank, made the standard water connections, reconnected the gas, tied into the usable electrical setup, connected the vent, and ran the temperature and pressure relief piping.
What mattered was getting everything up to code compliance without waiting for a weekday parts run. We started it up, checked for leaks, and confirmed the power vent was doing its job. The customer was back in hot water same day, and they have a reliable, dependable water heater for years and years to come.
