We recently completed this water purifier set up in Park City. It is a two-in-one water softener and carbon filter. We were able to identify that the line had excessive pressure, so we installed a PRV to regulate the pressure. Plus the property had extremely hard water, so we determined this was the appropriate solution.
We put in a 56,000 grain downflow unit and tied it into the house piping with the professional-grade pressure reducing valve on the service side. Shut the water down, got the old setup out of the way, set the new tank and brine tank, and ran the connections so the system could do its job without fighting high line pressure.
We tested it, flushed it, and ran the control head through its cycles so everything checked out. Now the customer has clean pure water for years to come.
