One-trip RO install and main shutoff fix

We were called out to this house in Salt Lake City to help install a customer-supplied Cloud reverse osmosis system. Upon further inspection and removing their old RO, we discovered that one of their valves was not working correctly and would not shut off the water all the way. After investigating that, we discovered their main valve was also defective and not shutting off all the way.

Luckily, as we have gone over before many times, we came prepared for these kinds of situations. A simple job that most contractors would have spiraled out of control with was able to be taken care of in a single trip. We changed the main valve, replaced the water shutoff, and successfully installed the reverse osmosis as well as changing a garbage disposal downstairs for the same customer.

We shut the water down properly, drained pressure as needed, put in the new full-port ball valve on the three-quarter main, got the ice maker shutoff sorted, hooked up the Cloud unit with its tank, and finished the disposal swap. All done in one trip, no hassle.
