Mountain Man Plumbing recently tackled a uniquely challenging Taylorsville water heater replacement project. This job vividly highlighted our team’s determination, skill, and resourcefulness when facing unexpected plumbing obstacles.
The existing Taylorsville water heater had faithfully operated since April 6, 2012, marking over a decade of dependable service. Nestled within an exceptionally tight utility closet, the old Taylorsville water heater was virtually inaccessible. To add to the complexity, surrounding plumbing and fittings had been installed after the water heater, effectively trapping it within the confined space.
With meticulous care, we dismantled the surrounding plumbing fixtures and piping, cautiously navigating around existing infrastructure to prevent additional damage. Even the closet door required removal, underscoring just how limited our working space was. Recognizing these unique spatial constraints, we ordered a custom-sized, narrow water heater specifically tailored for this tight installation.
For this Taylorsville project, we chose a Bradford White water heater. Bradford White is proudly manufactured in the USA and is known throughout the plumbing industry for exceptional quality, reliability, and durability. Their water heaters undergo rigorous testing to meet the highest standards, ensuring superior performance and longevity. Mountain Man Plumbing consistently selects Bradford White because of their commitment to American-made quality, robust warranty programs, and proven long-term dependability, giving homeowners peace of mind.
Undeterred by these significant hurdles, our experienced team persisted, successfully completing the challenging Taylorsville water heater installation. We replaced the flooded expansion tank with a new, securely supported unit, ensuring reliable, safe operation moving forward.
This Taylorsville water heater replacement underscores Mountain Man Plumbing’s unwavering dedication to overcoming any challenge, delivering precise, professional solutions tailored to every homeowner’s

If you're in need of a plumber, I strongly recommend contacting Mountain Man Plumbing. I hired Tyler to replace a 1980's style leaky bathtub valve at my house, and was highly satisfied with how it turned out. Unfortunately, the valve was installed in a wall covered with tile on one side and kitchen cabinets on the other. To access and replace the valve, he climbed into a small cabinet, maneuvering himself in an awkward position to cut a hole in the back of it. This eliminated the need to replace the bathtub tile, saving both money and time. Best of all, the new valve looks amazing and our shower was out of commission for three hours instead of three weeks.
