## The story *behind the photos.*

Mountain Man Plumbing
Draper, Utah

This job was a neighbor DIY help project up in Suncrest in Draper. A lot of companies push back when someone only wants them for one piece of the work. We stay flexible and help with anything we can. The customer handled the excavation himself and just wanted us to run the pipe, which we were fine with.

We cut into his slab two times and ran brand new pipe for the laundry as well as the kitchen. Laundry is always a great idea. It’s actually one of the most common appliances to cause flooding and cost damage, so getting that drain right matters. Same idea for the kitchen rough-in.

We also set the backwater valve. Those devices make sure that if the sewer backs up, water doesn’t get into the home basement. We stocked the van with the pipe and fittings we needed so we could keep the install moving while the open trenches were ready. Once the laundry and kitchen lines and the backwater protection were in, the piping side of his project was done.
